Frequently asked questions

Questions about civil law

What is the payment order procedure?

A fast-track way to claim money debts that can be proven with documents such as invoices or contracts. If the debtor neither pays nor objects, the court allows the debt to be enforced directly.

What is the MASC and is it mandatory?

MASC stands for appropriate dispute resolution methods: an attempt to negotiate before going to court. Since April 2025 it has been a prerequisite in most civil cases in Spain.

Can you review a contract before I sign it?

Yes. We review it, explain what you're signing and suggest the changes worth asking for. We can also do this online.
